About Stepping Forward Review

Stepping Forward Review is an independent youth development magazine. We publish practical guidance for youth workers, educators, parents and community organizers who design and evaluate youth development programs.

Our editorial mission is to answer concrete reader questions. Every article starts with a real challenge from the field, such as how to structure a mentorship program, how to build community partnerships, or how to evaluate outcomes. We then connect that challenge to authoritative public guidance from sources like youth development research, government frameworks and nonprofit toolkits.

We organize our work into three main sections. Mentorship Design covers practical approaches to structuring youth mentorship and program activities. Community Partnerships explores how youth programs can build and sustain relationships with local organizations and volunteers. Outcome Evaluation offers methods and questions for evaluating youth development outcomes.

We are a new publication. We are not a service provider, a former organization or a membership group. We do not claim to operate youth programs. Our role is editorial: to synthesize and present practical knowledge in a concise, accessible format.
